Notice to 2016 Prize entrants on Pulitzer.org redesign

Are you or your organization entering the 2016 Pulitzer competition? The Pulitzer entry site has not changed, and details on the entry process are available at our How to Enter page.

The entry site, located at http://entrysite.pulitzer.org/, always has been separate from Pulitzer.org. Pulitzer.org, which is newly redesigned, is a public-facing site where the Pulitzer Prizes share news, history, archival materials and events.

The entry site will remain separate going forward. As a result, if you began and saved a prize entry at the end of 2015, it remains in our system. Entries are proceeding as usual.

The deadline for journalism entries is January 25, 2016.

Winners in all categories will be announced on April 18, 2016.

Reporting, writing, photos and cartoons published by eligible news organizations in calendar 2015 can be submitted. Some magazines and their news sites are eligible this year in five categories: Investigative Reporting, International Reporting, Feature Writing, Criticism and Editorial Cartooning. Please visit our Q&A on category changes for more information.

Paul Gigot, chairman of the Pulitzer Prize Board, encourages eligible news organizations to enter the Editorial Writing category.

Please read the Journalism Guidelines and Technical Requirements on the How to Enter page before submitting your entry. Also note the new guidelines for entry letters. Most common technical mistakes: don't submit one large PDF of all your stories – they must be split up into separate files, and if you are submitting a multimedia package, it must be the only item in your entry.
