UMaine professor speaks on Pulitzer novels as films

The recommended entry deadline for eligible books published between January 1, 2026 and July 31, 2026 is July 15, 2026. The final deadline for all eligible books (published between January 1 and December 31, 2026) is October 15, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time.

“I’ve always believed that the most meaningful work we do in journalism is rooted in service – service to our communities and to the truth,” Carroll said. “Leading the Pulitzer Board continues that service to a profession that has meant so much to me and has been so critical to our society.”
