The Pulitzer Board has accepted the New York Times’ withdrawal of its 2019 Pulitzer Finalist in International Reporting.

Lytle Hernández, a professor of History, African American Studies and Urban Planning at UCLA, and Merida, a senior vice president at ESPN and editor-in-chief of The Undefeated, have been elected to the Pulitzer Prize Board.

The entry site will close on December 31, and digital submissions now are permitted in both categories due to the coronavirus pandemic.
